ensoniqcommander - a norton clone for ensoniq formatted media
sorry. this project has been cancelled because i do not have enough time for it. but i did
redesign the project. the new aim was to write a file system plugin for the outstanding program
TOTAL COMMANDER.
please have a look into my other projects for EnsoniqFS and related software.
since the ensoniq eps16+ (and the asr10, too) have a really tiny display, copying files
on ensoniq disks is always a pain. if you have a scsi disk, the things get even worse.
you have to press thousands of buttons to move between directories (unless you have created
shortcuts), and to keep an overview over hundreds (or thousands) of files with a simple
one-line-display is nearly impossible.
although there are several projects out there dealing with this topic, they are either
unusable or commercial (if there _is_ a really working free program, please let me know,
i'm highly interested!). so i decided to write such a program on my own. currently it
is very alpha, but i hope i can release a working version this march or april. i'm also
planning to make the source code available to the public (maybe gpl), so others can
contribute to the project. click on the image to see a screenshot of the current version.
planned features of the program are:
- reading/writing scsi disks, image files, reading cdrom
- _no_ floppy support (unfortunately win32 can't read/write 10 sectors/track)
- formatting scsi disks and images, creating new images
- creating image files from cdroms and scsi disks
- creating directories, moving between directories
- copying/moving/renaming files and directories
- checking/repairing directory structures and allocation tables
- importing/exporting instrument files
